Obstetrics
The birth of a child is without doubt the happiest reason for a stay in our hospital. For us, too, each individual birth is a fantastic experience. We offer a skilled team of experienced midwives, physicians and physiotherapists, supported by an educationalist and a psychologist. In planning our obstetric facilities, we have adopted a holistic approach to ensure that the first hours of the child are a happy experience. The focus here is on mother and baby and their needs.
As well as having access to modern conventional diagnostic and therapeutic methods, we also offer alternative concepts of care. Birthing rooms with informal furnishings and an integrated infant/maternity ward are available.
Embedded in our overall concept is the Parenting School, which offers a comprehensive range of courses to prepare for childbirth (including swimming) and for living with children.
Gynaecology
Our female patients expect understanding and empathy in all issues of women's health.
We do not consider and treat organic diseases in isolation, we always view the whole person and the complexities of the individual personality in each case. This approach informs the entire spectrum of tumour therapy (surgical, drug treatment and psychotherapy).
Particular areas of focus are reconstructive surgery in breast cancer and many other methods of plastic surgery.
In addition to the entire spectrum of surgical gynaecology, minimally invasive operative techniques form an additional area of focus. Wherever possible we avoid abdominal incisions.
Breast Centre Hamm, Ahlen-Soest
Specialists from a variety of disciplines here offer the entire spectrum of diagnostics and therapy for diseases of the breast and their consequences – both on an outpatient or inpatient basis. This takes place in close collaboration with partners.
Through the optimised and focused collaboration of radiology, gynaecology, oncology and radiotherapy specialists together with our state-of-the-art equipment and range of differentiated surgical and conservative therapies, we are able to improve the chances of recovery with this bundling of expert competence.
