Our areas of activity are:

Anaesthesia
During operations or diagnostic interventions anaesthetists are responsible not just for the actual anaesthetic. Using our 5 senses as well as state-of-the-art monitoring and treatment technology, we ensure that the body's vital functions (e.g. respiration, circulation, kidney function and the body's own heat balance) are maintained. In major and difficult operations and in emergencies it is our task to identify problems quickly and to respond to them immediately.
We use all the latest methods of anaesthesiology, which we are constantly updating in line with the state of the art, e.g.

General anaesthesia with intubation, larynx mask or mask

  • Balanced anaesthesia (together with inhalation anaesthesia)
  • TIVA (total intravenous anaesthesia)
  • Anaesthesia in a closed system (ZEUS)

Regional anaesthesia

  • Plexus axillary block techniques
  •  Hand block
  •  Foot block
  •  IV regional anaesthesia
  •  3-in-1 catheter technology
  •  Peripheral nerve blocks of the lower extremity with and without catheter technology
  •  Epidural anaesthesia (=peridural anaesthesia), thoraco/lumbar
  •  Spinal anaesthesia
  •  etc.

Intensive Care Medicine (surgical), 19 beds
The Surgical Intensive Care Ward is under our management in terms of organisation and specialism. We ensure state-of-the-art intensive care medicine that ranges from the monitoring of patients following major operations through to the complete care of extremely severely injured and sick patients (including renal replacement therapy).
